Would it be driving in your car? Being in a war-torn nation? Or on a passenger plane? Obviously there are some very dangerous places to be on this earth, but the most dangerous may shock you.

Could you have ever imagined that the most dangerous place to be is in a mother’s womb? If you are under 35, one of the major reasons you are alive today is because your mother chose to let you out of her body alive. Are you glad that your mother made this decision? We at Truth and Love for Life care about you and we too are glad your mother made the right choice.

Many children do not even see the light of day. Since 1970, well over 2.5 million children have been aborted in this country alone. The yearly rate is now about 100, 000 abortions per year.

About one out of every four children are aborted in Canada.

In our National Anthem we sing, “God keep our land, glorious and free.” Taking the life of an unborn child is neither glorious nor liberating. This is rebellion against God and He is very angry about it.

You and Every Unborn Baby are Created in God’s Image.

The Supreme Court of Canada has felt the liberty to rule that a ‘fetus’ is not a human being. But GOD, the Supreme Judge says that each human being is created in His image. Canada’s Supreme Court is guilty of breaking HIS Law.

Whether you believe it or not, God formed you.

“You wove me in my mother’s womb. I will give thanks to You”
Psalm 139:13,14

A woman may say she is free to choose because it is her own body. No, it isn’t. It is God’s. He created her; He gave her life and her very breath is a gift. “God created man in His own image, in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them” (Genesis 1:27). God will hold our nation, leaders, judges, fathers and mothers accountable. We say these things because we too are your fellow Canadians, and we love you.

Women have been terribly hurt emotionally and physically by the effects of abortion. For the evidence please reference, Women’s Health after Abortion: The Medical and Psychological Evidence. 2nd Ed. by Elizabeth Ring-Cassidy and Prof. Ian Gentles.

None of us come from perfect families, but your mother did let you live. No one had the right to kill you one minute after you were born. Therefore, no one should have had the right to kill you one minute before you were born. The womb was created by God to be a safe place for a baby; now it is the most dangerous.

God’s wrath is against abortion

The most loving thing a person can do when a country or individual is in grave danger is to tell them the truth. An example would be, would you rather have a doctor who told you disturbing news of your terminal illness and your need for immediate treatment or one who comforted you saying all is well, and you ended up dying. Here is the hard truth.

Abortion is a direct attack against God and those created in His image. Due to this, His wrath is set against all this unrighteousness. “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness” (Romans 1:18). God will bring an end to abortion around the world when the Lord Jesus Christ comes in His glory. We may think we are free to do whatever we want, but God will bring every deed to judgement.

“The day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. While they are saying, “Peace and safety!” then destruction will come upon them suddenly like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will not escape” (1 Thessalonians 5:2-3).

We have all sinned and we all deserve the most dangerous place after this world has come to an end, eternity in hell.

BUT: There is Forgiveness Through Jesus Christ I (the author) deserve hell as much as anyone else. For example, the Bible says that whoever hates his brother is a murderer (1 John 3:15). In myself I would be guilty of being a murderer at heart because I have hated. But I have found cleansing, forgiveness and healing through Jesus Christ.

We know that there are those who have gone through with abortions and our love and concern extends to all of them. I recently heard a woman say that she has met elderly women who are wracked by guilt because of past abortions. They feel like, “How could I ever be forgiven?” We all face death and will eventually meet our Creator and Judge. Yet Jesus, our Judge, came to this earth to provide a way back to the Father. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father but through me” (John 14:6).

Jesus Christ (being both fully God and fully man) came into the world and lived the perfect life that you and I could never live. He went to the cross and died in the place of sinners so that the penalty for their sin could be paid in full. Now those who trust in Him can be forgiven of all their sins (past, present and future) through the shedding of His blood.

When Jesus died on the cross, He had two criminals on crosses beside Him. One mocked Jesus; the other, who had previously mocked Him, changed his mind and trusted Jesus Christ as the Messiah. He didn’t have time to do good works or go get baptized. He believed, and his words showed his heart.

And he was saying, “Jesus, remember me when you come in Your kingdom!” And He said to him, “Truly I say to you, today you shall be with Me in Paradise!” We are all spiritual criminals in need of God’s forgiveness. Jesus rose from the dead to give those who come to faith in Him eternal life. Salvation is a gift of God; you can’t earn it.

“Truly, truly, I say to you, he who hears My word and believes Him who sent Me, has eternal life, and does not come into judgment, but has passed out of death into life” (John 5:24).

Once someone comes to faith in Christ they are a new person and will want to obey their Lord. All believers need to confess Jesus as their Lord and be baptized in obedience to Him. This will show that they are not just a temporal citizen of Canada, but a permanent citizen of God’s eternal Kingdom, escaping the wrath to come.

Remember that all these children, like you, are special. We desire Life for all, not only in this life, but in the one to come.
