Election Day Is OCTOBER 3, 2023
Manitobans are heading to the polls on October 3 to vote for a new government. The Progressive
Conservatives are eying to win a third consecutive term but are fighting their first election under
Heather Stefanson. The NDP under Wab Kinew are trying to return to power while the Liberals
under Dougald Lamont are looking to win more than 3 seats for the first time in over 30 years.
After coming close to fielding a full slate of candidates in 2019, the Green Party, led by Janine
Gibson, was only able to nominate 13 candidates this election, leaving about a quarter of
Manitobans without the option to vote for that party.
This election is bound to be a close one! So make full use of your democratic rights by voting on
October 3, volunteering for campaigns, questioning candidates on the issues, and encouraging
friends and family members to support the candidate and the party that best exemplifies Christian
values.
Election Guide
We’ve done some of the work sifting through the parties’ platforms and some of the media
coverage of the election to compare where each of the parties stands on the various issues that
ARPA engages in. Of course, Christians should apply their faith and biblical principles to every
issue, so we encourage you to dig into the other policies that the parties have offered.
We hope that it helps to inform your vote!
