OTTAWA — A security guard in a bright yellow jacket stood outside the Morgentaler Clinic on Bank Street in downtown Ottawa yesterday. Across the road, a woman waved a sign that said, “I regret my abortion.” Today is the 40th anniversary of the passage of Pierre Trudeau’s omnibus bill, amending criminal law, in the House of Commons.
