Can Nations be “Christian”? An English Debate

Is Canada a Christian nation? Was it ever? For one perspective on this debate (looking at England rather than Canada), read this new article in Comment Magazine (a publication of Cardus) by Jonathan Chaplin. Here is an excerpt:
“But what many Christian nation advocates seem to overlook is that this specific, covenantal character was only ever explicitly ordained by God for one people: biblical Israel.
