Update: Because of the controversy, the band has returned the public money they received. Hopefully our government will take a closer look at where tax dollars are going.

Francois Marchand, Postmedia News, May 19 2011: Vancouver punk band Living with Lions has come under fire from U.S. media following the release of its new album Holy S— and has drawn the ire of Canadian Heritage Minister James Moore. The album’s packaging, designed to look like a Bible with faded pages, lyrics written like Bible verses and subtitled (keep reading here but note that the description of the album is distrubing).
