At the end of May, ARPA’s legal counsel was able to attend the 4th annual Parliamentary Forum on Religious Freedom. While past forums have focussed on religious freedom generally or internationally, this year the focus was on Canadian religious freedom. The four speakers were excellent and opened our eyes to the reality that there are forces at work undermining religious freedom here in Canada. Indeed, many politicians, academics and media have made public calls to reduce religious freedom as a secondary right, subject to other rights.
