Press Release: ARPA Canada Board Meeting – January 21, 2025
On Tuesday, January 21, 2025, the board of the Association for Reformed Political Action (ARPA) Canada convened at Camp Evergreen, about an hour northwest of Calgary, AB. This in-person meeting coincided with the ARPA Canada staff meetings, providing a valuable opportunity for both staff and board members to connect as they set plans for the upcoming year.
Following an opening meditation and prayer, the board proceeded to address the agenda.
The primary focus of the meeting was to review the financials for 2024, approve the budget for 2025, and discuss a proposal to reorganize the accountability chart to include an Integrator role—a new position approved at the board’s September 2024 meeting.
With gratitude to the Lord, the board received a report detailing the revenue and expenses from 2024, noting that ARPA was blessed with a small surplus. Although revenue fell short of the budgeted amount, expenses were also lower than anticipated. The board expressed appreciation for the generous financial contributions received from across the country and praised God for His continued provision for the mission.
The approved budget for 2025 is approximately $1,900,000, reflecting a 5% increase from the previous year’s actuals.
Additionally, the board discussed the 2024 staff performance reviews, expressing gratitude for the insights gained into the daily activities of the staff.
The accountability chart for ARPA Canada received positive feedback and approval to move forward with the next steps.
The meeting concluded with a prayer of thanksgiving. The next ARPA board meeting is scheduled to be held virtually on April 14, 2025, Lord willing.
