ARPA Canada Interviews Rod Taylor Regarding Canadian Aboriginal Affairs Policy

In this first edition of the ARPA e-Luminary audio broadcast, we interview Rod Taylor from Smithers, B.C. to get some insight into the politics of aboriginal affairs. As is explained in the interview, Canada’s aboriginal peoples suffer greatly. Bringing hope and healing is complex because there is no simple solution. But Christians have a special responsibility to work towards justice and healing. This broadcast is not an attempt to settle the matter or provide all the answers. Hopefully it will shed some light on how change is needed in how our governments deal with this. We can be a part of this change. Listen to find out how.
Rod Taylor works as a quality control supervisor in a value-added lumber mill on the aboriginal reserve of Moricetown, about twenty minutes West of Smithers. He is also the deputy leader of the Christian Heritage Party and was instrumental in bringing a new aboriginal affairs policy to the November 2008 party convention. This policy serves as a good starting point to this discussion.
