Mark Penninga’s first book explores the Supreme Court’s decisions relating to human dignity and the value of human life (abortion, assisted suicide, equality rights etc.) In it Penninga digs below the surface of the rhetoric and examines the philosophical foundations beneath the decisions that our country is making. After assessing the secular accounts of human dignity and revealing their weaknesses he turns to the Bible to provide an account of dignity that is able to restore a much-needed foundation to human life and the rights we hold so dear.
